RESA 7 would like to announce a new federal grant funding for Project ISAAC, an afterschool program.   Project ISAAC will be available to students for five years, 2014 – 2019 at Westwood Middle School, Midland Elementary School, and Elkins Middle School. Project ISAAC is a free after school program available to students. Project ISAAC aims to educate the whole child by delivering a comprehensive program. Enrolled students will receive targeted math and reading tutoring, hands-on enrichment, homework assistance, recreation, and a nutritious supper each evening. Students participating at the middle school level will have the opportunity to explore career clusters and opportunities to preview potential career paths through activities and special enrichment programming. At all 21st CCLC ISAAC sites, a family series of events will be delivered to meet the needs of the population as identified through the needs assessment surveys. Our program was not only developed to increase student achievement but to advance communities as well.
